Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Laboratory Technician to join our team at Magnum Cementing Services. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing laboratory operations, ensuring the highest quality of results, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Laboratory Operations: Direct and manage the day-to-day activities of laboratory technicians, ensuring that all experiments, tests, and analyses are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all laboratory work meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory technicians, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of laboratory inventory, including chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all laboratory operations are conducted in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including research and development, engineering, and sales, to ensure that laboratory results are communicated effectively and that all stakeholders are informed of laboratory activities.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong work ethic.
