Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, and other cardiac diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct ECG testing, stress testing, and other cardiac diagnostic procedures to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions.
  2. Explain procedures and answer patient questions to ensure a smooth testing process.
  3. Analyze ECG test strips and summarize data for interpretation by medical staff.
  4. Assist with Pacemaker interrogation, monitoring, and documentation as required.
  5. Enter patient test information into Meditech to provide Electronic Health Records database for client/patient files.
  6. Maintain accurate files and reports according to established department procedures/policies.
  7. Provide training and orientation to new staff and students on ECG testing procedures and equipment operation.
  8. Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing items as required.
  9. Distribute patient reports to appropriate wards and/or departments.
  10. Contribute to the development, implementation, and update of department policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level plus two (2) years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certification is required.
