About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Excavation Foreman/Woman to join our team at CHELA TRANSPORT LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment on our demolition and excavation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train a team of workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all heavy equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the work site is a safe and healthy environment for all workers.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and workers to ensure that all project requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Willing to relocate, work in a dangerous, dusty, noisy, and odorous environment.
  • Work Setting: Demolition, equipment operation, excavation.
  • Physical Capabilities: Overtime required, tight deadlines, work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player.
