About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Analyst to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Public Health department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic policies and plans to advance our priorities and goals.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in policy development, planning, and accountability, with experience in building partnerships and leading work teams to achieve defined priority areas. You will be responsible for providing strategic analysis and advice to support the advancement of our priorities, as well as designing and implementing provincial integrated plans to support excellence in Public Health.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of public health systems, healthy public policy processes, and quality improvement methodologies. You will have excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data. Experience in project management, financial planning, and monitoring systems is also an asset.

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree in public health, health promotion, community development, health administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership experience. A master's degree in a health-related discipline is considered an asset. Certification or additional training in Quality Improvement, Design Thinking, Process Mapping, IAP2, Project Management, and/or Change Management is also an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

$47.01 Hourly
