Mental Health Consultant

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Consultant to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of core mental health services, standards, guidelines, and best practices. The successful candidate will work closely with the MH&A Manager, Policy and Planning, to facilitate the implementation plan associated with health services planning and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in health policy, administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in project implementation, standards development, evaluation, and adoption of best practices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills. Experience working in a healthcare setting and/or with healthcare organizations is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of core mental health services, standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Facilitate the implementation plan associated with health services planning
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, including developing and implementing new models of service delivery and supporting workforce development initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Undergraduate degree in a health discipline or a related field
- Master's level preparation is an asset
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in project implementation, standards development, evaluation, and adoption of best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Experience working in a healthcare setting and/or with healthcare organizations
The Nova Scotia Health Authority offers a competitive salary range of $37.61 - $47.01 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
