About the Role

Voyago is seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team as an Independent Contractor in Ontario.

Your Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely and efficiently via stretcher or wheelchair to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for patients and their families.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care transitions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid First Responder Certification, AEMCA, or Paramedic Diploma (with at least one year of study completed), or be a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
  • A valid CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification.
  • A valid G-class driving license.
  • The ability to lift 250+ pounds using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner.
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.
  • A clean driving record and the ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening.
  • Up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (two doses), and TB Skin Test (Step 1), valid within the last 12 months.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or a post-secondary diploma.
