We are in search of a Claims Manager for Accident Benefits Technical Services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of Technical Consultants, ensuring that claims are managed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory standards, while offering expert advice on intricate matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of consultants tasked with managing reserve activities and disbursements on significant claims.
- Work alongside claims specialists to address technical challenges and maintain compliance.
- Offer advisory assistance on coverage issues, policy interpretation, and negotiation of settlements.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance and regulatory standards in the claims adjudication process.
- Formulate and execute strategies aimed at minimizing loss costs and operational expenses.
- Cultivate relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
- Direct and manage projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Track key performance indicators and trends to guide decision-making.
- A university degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 8 to 10 years of specialized claims experience in Accident Benefits.
- 3 to 5 years of leadership experience.
- Proficient project management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of legislation and compliance obligations.
