Mortgage Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Administrator to join our team at CB Canada. As a Mortgage Administrator, you will be responsible for preparing and processing commercial mortgage documentation, reviewing documents, and ensuring compliance with mortgage policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process commercial mortgage documentation, including loan applications and supporting documents
  • Review mortgage documentation received from clients and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Audit auto-approved mortgage applications for compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist the mortgage underwriting team with loan processing and documentation
  • Work with internal teams to ensure residential mortgage policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset
  • Previous work experience in commercial mortgages is required
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage business and documentation required, as well as credit and lending principles
  • Able to read financial statements as part of the appraisal process
  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, with occasional in-office work required
