Job Summary:

Ontario Soccer is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist with the delivery of the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) and the Ontario Cup (Ontario's Provincial Soccer Championships). As a Competitions Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of game day events and league management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning, preparation, promotion, and communication of competitions and associated events.
  • Manage and execute on-site competition operations, including data entry and management of data in department databases.
  • Track discipline arising from competitions and develop and maintain applicable sections on the Ontario Soccer and OPDL websites.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Ontario Soccer.

Requirements:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills.
  • Interest in working with and supporting volunteers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and off business hours.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues.
  • High energy and initiative.
