Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology and Information Services to lead our technology and information services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a cost-effective, reliable, and secure technology infrastructure and architecture that supports existing and emerging applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic Information Technology Plan for all users of the District
- Establish the direction for technology in the District
- Supervise and support the work of all Technology and Information Services staff
- Manage the Information Technology and Information Services budget and expenditures
- Negotiate with software and hardware vendors on pricing and terms and conditions for major acquisitions and renewals of software and hardware contracts
- Research and implement leading edge educational software and technologies to support student needs
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant post-secondary education, or equivalent of education and work experience
- Considerable experience and success with integrating new technologies and methodologies into a large organization
