Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst (Contract) to join our team at Strongco. As a key member of our Financial Shared Services department, you will play a critical role in assisting with the month-end close process and preparing management reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including consolidated statements and management reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Accounting and Financial Analysis: Maintain and reconcile company accounting records, prepare working papers and schedules for year-end audit, and perform account analysis to identify areas for cost reduction.
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Assist with monthly and annual reporting requirements, including the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal controls processes and systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration, and provide timely and accurate financial information to support business decisions.
Requirements:
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field, with a major in Accounting and ideally pursuing a professional accounting designation (CPA).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of general accounting experience, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and take initiative to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
