Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet Ministry and Board requirements
  • Provide instruction to small groups of adult learners
Requirements
  • Fluency in the respective language (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
  • Three-year university degree or three-year college diploma in education, social work, sociology, psychology, linguistics, or applied languages
  • Familiarity with community support agencies pertaining to adult, family, or employment-related issues
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult education principles
  • Knowledge of the HRSDC's 9 Essential Skills
  • Ability to use Canadian Language Benchmarks effectively
  • Ability to use assessment tools for adult literacy learners
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with adult learners
  • Knowledge of software database systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
