Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Director, Commercial Banking at National Bank, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients assigned to you.

Your duties will include identifying and developing business opportunities in your market, increasing your commercial client base, and establishing business development strategies.

Key Accountabilities
  • Help clients achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services.
  • Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, ensuring they meet risk management standards and profitability criteria.
  • Draw up business development plans and actively participate in various networking activities.
  • Work in synergy with all Bank departments to deliver exceptional client service.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals supporting business clients in the Commercial Banking and Private Banking sector.

You will be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists, including financing solutions managers, who will help you offer tailored solutions to meet client needs.

Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, you will manage a portfolio of clients covering the Vancouver region.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years' experience in sales and business development within the financial industry
  • Experience in analysis of financial statements, commercial credit, and sales
  • A network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies
