About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director, Commercial Banking to join our team at National Bank. As a key member of our Commercial Banking and Private Banking 1859 sector, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients assigned to you.

Your primary focus will be on identifying and developing business opportunities in your market, increasing your commercial client base, and establishing business development strategies. You will work closely with clients to help them achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to increase commercial client base and revenue growth.
  • Provide financial solutions and advice to clients to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Negotiate agreements with clients while ensuring risk management standards and profitability criteria are met.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Vice-President to achieve business objectives and work with the Manager – Financing Solutions to provide comprehensive financial solutions.
  • Participate in networking activities and work in synergy with all Bank departments.

About the Team

You will join a team of professionals who support business clients and work in an ecosystem of specialists, including financing solutions managers. You will report to the Regional Vice-President and manage a portfolio of clients covering the Vancouver region.

Our training programs focus on on-the-job learning, and you will have access to personalized training content and colleagues with diverse expertise and backgrounds.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 to 9 years' experience in sales and business development within the financial industry.
  • University certificate and 9 years' experience, Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience, or Master's degree and 5 years' experience.
  • Experience in sales and business development, analysis of financial statements, commercial credit, and network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies.
