About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher Assistant to join our team at ADDA INDIAN EATERY INC. as a key member of our kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Table and Tray Maintenance: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to ensure a clean and welcoming dining area.
  • Buspan and Tray Loading: Load buspans and trays with dishes, glassware, and flatware to prepare for washing and storage.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Storage and Replenishment: Place dishes in storage areas, replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, portion and wrap foods, and package take-out food.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take customers' orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
