About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Sushi Fresh. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Cooking and Food Preparation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to food safety and quality standards.

Customer Service

Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.

Kitchen Management

Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Staff Training and Supervision

Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they meet our high standards.

Inventory Management

Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Language

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.

Work Hours

30 hours per week is the standard work schedule.
