Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at East India Company Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Operations: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Buffet and Banquet Management: Organize and manage buffets and banquets, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
