Job Opportunity: Secondary Occasional Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Secondary Occasional Teacher to join our team at the Durham District School Board.

About the Role:

The Secondary Occasional Teacher will provide instruction and support to students in a variety of subject areas, including mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in a secondary setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Ontario teaching certification and registration with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting
