SHIFT: VARIES / PRN

LOCATION: WINSHIP AT EMORY UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL MIDTOWN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT imaging equipment, power injectors, and other medical devices to generate diagnostic scans.
  • Deliver quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
  • Effectively communicate patient needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written documentation.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records regarding all aspects of patient care.
  • Ensure proper functioning of imaging and specialty equipment while staying informed about medical device applications.
  • Implement precautions to minimize exposure to x-radiation for both patients and staff.
  • Assume responsibility for direct patient care during all procedures performed.
  • Prepare patients adequately for procedures.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients throughout their procedures.
  • Assist in educating patients and their families.
  • May participate in research and related activities.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
  • Provide advanced technical care to meet identified patient needs.
  • Assist in planning and executing multiple diagnostic procedures in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a resource for students and junior technologists.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and registered with the ARRT.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience, including at least one (1) year in CT.
  • Advanced certification in CT is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification as per American Heart Association standards is required.
