Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is currently in search of qualified candidates for the role of Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant. The OTA/PTA plays a crucial role in supporting the Rehabilitation Services team, which includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists.

Essential Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid Certificate of Competence from an accredited Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant program, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the hospital.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience as a PT/OT Assistant, or an equivalent experience acceptable to the hospital.
  • Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize patient care requirements.
  • Capability to perform responsibilities independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a productive member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with various software applications, including Cerner, Powerchart, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in engaging with patients and families to deliver patient-centered, goal-oriented care.
  • Commitment to maintaining Privacy and Confidentiality is required.
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance and work ethics in previous roles.
Additional Information
  • Compensation is in accordance with the UNIFOR Collective Agreement, ranging from $26.91 to $27.95 per hour.
