Controls Engineering Specialist

Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of High School Education.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming and control systems.
- Background in Electrical work (as an electrician or technician).
- Relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), encoders, and network/Ethernet control systems, including Profinet.
- Experience with Cognex vision systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities, including methodologies such as 8Ds, FMEAs, and DMAICs.
- Capability to troubleshoot equipment independently and continuously seek improvements.
- Experience with ABB robotics.
- Familiarity with PLC and CNC operations.
- Ability to interpret and modify electrical schematics and read technical drawings, including AutoCAD.
- Experience in laser cutting technologies.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficient in Lean Tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Experience with DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) project methodologies.
- Familiarity with Total Quality Management (TQM) and Kaizen techniques.
- Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Knowledge of Visual Factory Management techniques.
