Job Summary:

The Instructional Assistant will provide support to instructors in the Mining Engineering Technician Program by assisting with planning, organizing, and managing learning activities. This includes supporting the delivery of instruction, working closely with students, and assisting with field and laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support instructors with planning and organizing learning activities
  • Assist with the delivery of instruction and student evaluation
  • Work closely with students to model appropriate behaviors and demonstrate specific skills
  • Assist with field and laboratory activities, including equipment maintenance and ordering
  • Perform other related duties to maintain quality student-centered learning

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mining Engineering Technology or Technician from an accredited institution
  • Recent relevant work experience in the mining industry
  • Effective communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
