Senior Health Economist Role at BC Cancer

BC Cancer, part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), seeks a highly motivated Senior Health Economist to contribute to impactful research initiatives. This role will involve collaborating with healthcare professionals across various sectors, including BC Cancer, PHSA, Ministry of Health Services, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both quantitative and qualitative health economics and health service research studies.
  • Develop sophisticated decision analytic models for evaluating the economic impact of healthcare initiatives.
  • Design innovative tools to model healthcare outcomes and generate insightful data.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and engaging presentations to effectively communicate research findings.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A PhD in Health Economics or a closely related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience conducting health economics research.
  • Advanced knowledge of health economics theory and methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
