Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Hôpital Vétérinaire Victoria St-Lambert. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.
Main Responsibilities- Management: Participate in the hiring process for veterinarians, oversee on-boarding and integration, plan and conduct performance appraisals, and contribute to schedule preparation.
- Operations & Communications: Collaborate with the regional medical director to identify training needs, promote adherence to best medical practices, and develop operational protocols.
- Strategic Development: Identify and lead medical operations plans to ensure progress and continuous improvement, and support VCA Canada regional initiatives.
- Proficiency in French written and spoken.
- Veterinary doctor with 5 years of experience in a general practice hospital setting.
- Good stress management skills, positive leadership skills, and openness to change and evolution.
- Good organization skills, self-reliance, and good sense of observation.
- Teamwork, good communication skills, and ability to manage priorities efficiently.
