Position Overview – Our Automation & Digitalization division is seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Technologist to enhance our Richmond, BC operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of industrial facilities and create preliminary engineering designs and cost estimates for electrical and control system enhancements.
  • Develop comprehensive electrical control and instrumentation system designs, including P&ID diagrams, control system frameworks, and instrumentation setups.
  • Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
  • Prepare and assess tender and construction documentation, encompassing electrical and instrumentation schematics, installation guidelines, and supplementary materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper sector is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  • Professional designation as Eng. or AScT in British Columbia is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (typically 5-20%).
  • Experience in consulting engineering, commissioning, construction, and startup processes.
