University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Value Analysis and Clinical Integration to join our Procurement and Supply Chain Leadership Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating and guiding an organization-wide value analysis and clinical integration department that identifies, evaluates, and implements opportunities to reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, clinicians, administrators, finance, supply chain, and vendor partners, to foster collaboration and drive value analysis and clinical integration initiatives.
  • Implement governance frameworks and committees to support the successful performance of the value analysis and clinical integration department.
  • Identify and implement initiatives using data and best practices to promote product standardization and other levers of financial, operational, supply utilization, and clinical-usage optimization.
  • Liaise between key stakeholders to manage product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management, product evaluation processes, and vendor support.
  • Develop and manage departmental performance indicators and policies and procedures to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
  • Facilitate complex meetings involving cross-functional teams and guide the discussion towards actionable outcomes and plans.
  • Participate and supervise others in projects relating to both the supply chain department and the University Health Network.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain, commerce, or economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing complex value analysis and clinical integration projects, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated people management and leadership experience.
  • Sound working knowledge of the Ontario Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives, trade agreements, and public procurement laws.
  • Demonstrated proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated organization/time management skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain tools, such as SAP and Ariba, is an asset.
  • Proficiency in business computer applications, including MS Office 365 and SharePoint.
  • Developing and conducting presentations – advanced knowledge.
  • Project Management and/or conflict resolution training.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal staff, hospital staff, clinicians, external stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Team player, sense of urgency, strong communicator, resourceful, time management, and integrity.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage unexpected occurrences, and meet deadlines.
