Volt Capital is a leading venture capital firm that invests in innovative startups. We are seeking a talented Corporate Counsel to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of blockchain technology.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to provide legal expertise and guidance on a wide range of commercial, employment, and technology-related matters. The successful candidate will work closely with our cross-functional teams to structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts and partnership agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on commercial, employment, and technology-related matters
  • Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts and partnership agreements
  • Interact with internal and external partners to support business development initiatives
  • Support the development of LayerZero's technology transformation goals and special projects
  • Develop and implement legal training for business and procurement teams
  • Assist business partners with legal questions and provide versatile advice across a broad range of commercial workstreams
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience as an attorney at a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team for large companies
  • Membership in the British Columbia Bar, US state bar, or eligibility to register under the British Columbia Bar, and start bar in-house counsel program
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with strong prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
