Job Title: Executive Director

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Director to join our team at All Seniors Care Living Centres. As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for directing, managing, and overseeing the overall operations of our retirement community, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain or exceed occupancy levels according to budget expectations
  • Effectively manage all services of the residence, including food service, maintenance, nursing, health and wellness, marketing and sales, administration, and commercial affiliations
  • Review, approve, and direct all monthly invoices to head office for payment
  • Collaborate with the development, interpretation, and implementation of policies and procedures and communicate them to appropriate staff
  • Aid in the preparation of the annual budgets; operational and capital
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the residence while maintaining tight control of budget and variances to budget
  • Communicate on a regular basis with residents and their families, including meeting with residents/families to resolve problems/concerns/complaints, and reviewing suggestions as needed
  • Maintain proper staffing hours in conjunction with annual budgets
  • Perform evaluations on department heads and review their work progress regularly
  • Ensure that the residence-wide Quality Improvement Program is implemented and ongoing

Requirements:

  • Experience in retirement, healthcare, or another relevant sector
  • Previous experience in a management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with residents, families, community professionals, and various outside agencies
  • Working knowledge of budget management
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create long-term planning strategies
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse (RPN/RN) is an asset, but not required
  • Flexible work schedule is required
