Job Description

Job Title: Marketing and Communication Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communication Manager to join our team at ABB Schweiz AG. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing local marketing plans for the Canadian market of our assigned business line's product groups, segments, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Execute Local Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute local marketing plans that align with business goals, industry product goals, and overall strategy of ABB Electrification.
  2. Content Creation and Localization: Localize global content or create content when needed to support campaigns globally, including value propositions, copywriting, press releases, webinars, success stories, internal articles, flyers, brochures, catalogs, video scripts, interviews, advertisements, social media, and online content.
  3. Digitalization of Business Unit: Drive digitalization of appropriate business units and segments, working alongside the digital team to lead and support the development of digital selling tools and applications.
  4. Event Planning and Execution: Actively research and forecast events/initiatives to drive awareness around the ABB brand in your area of responsibility.
  5. Communication Material Coordination: Responsible for coordination and harmonization of communication material according to business requirements/guidelines.
  6. Marketing Collateral Creation: Drive the creation of all marketing collateral, including definition of common templates.
  7. Collaboration with Key Functions: Collaborate with key functions, including global marketing comms, sales, and marketing, and customer experience to support the development of effective materials for target audiences.
  8. Internal Communications: Develop and manage effective, timely, and relevant internal communications for sales channels.
  9. Requirements:
    1. More than 5 years of industry experience in relevant marketing communication positions, including industry experience and project management.
    2. Appreciation for working in international environments (strong intercultural skills).
    3. Excellent copywriting and editing skills, able to simplify complex technical content into appealing marketing messages and content.
    4. Bilingual French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
