Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced VP of Engineering to lead our platform engineering group and drive the development of our AI-powered customer support platform.
About the Role
As the VP of Engineering, you will report directly to the CTO and lead a large team of engineers to deliver reliable core APIs, comprehensive documentation, and enhanced developer experience. Your mission will be to empower product engineering teams by providing managed services, templates, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale exceptional cross-functional engineering teams to drive innovation and growth.
- Develop and implement technical strategies to improve service maturity standards in disaster recovery, monitoring coverage, and security practices.
- Collaborate with product teams to enhance the overall developer experience and drive business growth.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and scaling exceptional cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong technical background in Software Engineering (Python/Java), Data Tooling (Kafka), and DB's (Clickhouse, Postgres).
- Exceptional leadership experience with prior experience at Director/VP of Engineering level.
- Experience working within large-scale data environments.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation package, including base salary up to $340,000 CAD, bonus, equity, and wider benefits.
Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days per week in-office in Toronto.
