Key Responsibilities- Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the specimen collection process.
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, adhering to strict quality control and safety protocols.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including patient demographics and test requisitions.
- Prepare specimens for transportation and testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy experience, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good computer skills, with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
