Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the specimen collection process.
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, adhering to strict quality control and safety protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings as required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including patient demographics and test requisitions.
  • Prepare specimens for transportation and testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good computer skills, with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
