Position Overview
The Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering at Concordia University invites applications for two 12-month Limited Term Appointment contracts at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Mechanical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach fundamental undergraduate courses in mechanical engineering, including mechanical and machine drawing, theory of machines, design, and similar topics.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Participate in departmental service and committee work.
Qualifications and Assets
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Membership in a Canadian professional engineering association, preferably in Quebec, is required.
- Industrial experience will be a definite asset.
- Strong commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
