ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the Director of Category & Brand Operations, your primary focus will be on enhancing employee expertise that drives sales and conversion while ensuring an outstanding client experience. You will collaborate closely to cultivate skills and achieve excellence in program and brand management, effective communication, and program execution. Become a vital part of our Store Experience and Optimization team to elevate our employees' expertise and deliver an exceptional client experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide and nurture a workplace culture that reflects Sephora's values, promoting open communication and collaboration while offering career development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive strategies that facilitate data-driven decision-making and bring strategic training initiatives to fruition.
  • Design and implement innovative and sustainable training strategies that bridge vision and execution, working closely with North American/global teams to adapt and localize content.
  • Utilize client insights and employee performance metrics to inform category, product, and brand training programs, employing business insights to analyze all programming.
  • Prepare and present program updates and recommendations to senior leadership across various business functions and brand partners to influence strategies that enhance efficiency and foster a positive experience for clients and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Over 10 years of experience in retail operations and learning and development, including content design, optimization, and change management; at least 5 years in leadership roles within retail operations or brand management.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to develop practical training programs, operational processes, and improvements driven by objective and data-oriented decision-making.
  • Proven expertise in collaborating with cross-functional partners and managing multiple priorities with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to high-quality output by effectively communicating vision and driving innovation.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for store visits and leadership meetings.
