Job Title: Treatment Nurse

Job Summary:

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Woodland Wellness Centre is seeking a qualified Treatment Nurse to join their team in La Ronge, SK. As a Treatment Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to participants, evaluate their progress, and update their care plans accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing nursing care to participants, including sterile dressings, injections, medication administration, and monitoring blood pressures and glucose levels.
  • Evaluating participant progress and updating care plans based on nursing assessments.
  • Transcribing medications to the medication administration record (MAR) and updating weekly.
  • Developing comprehensive care plans, monitoring, and adjusting participant care on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintaining participant confidentiality and documenting relevant information on their health records.
  • Acting as a participant advocate and liaison between community programs and LLRIB.
  • Consulting with Woodland Wellness Centre Team members and other health professionals as needed.
  • Providing information and resources to participants to promote their safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan (CLPNS) or CRNS or RPNAS.
  • In good standing with the CLPNS, or CRNS or RPNAS.
  • Minimum two years of experience in nursing.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to speak/understand Cree would be an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and own a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory and recent Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and SGI Driver's Abstract.
