About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our Fleet Department, you will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective running of our busiest workshops, ensuring minimal lost unit hours due to vehicle failure.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of Workshop Technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safe working practices.
  • Monitor and develop new working practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of resources.
  • Collaborate with the Workshops Manager to ensure regular monitoring and checks are carried out to maintain a high standard of repairs and servicing.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in transport and/or general management.
  • Able to plan and manage demanding workloads with competing priorities.
  • Experience of business and/or fleet transformation.

Working for Our Organisation

As a member of our Fleet Department, you will be part of a team that designs, tests, and evaluates operational vehicles, procures and issues them to A&E Operations, and manages their in-life compliance, service planning, and up-time management. You will also be responsible for ordering lease vehicles to support functions, including business lease cars.
