Fulfillment Center Inventory Lead

Starting pay range from $26.00/hour. FreshRealm is seeking a Team Supervisor for our Fulfillment Center, responsible for indirectly managing a group of over 10 full-time Associates. Your primary focus will be to implement the daily operational plan for your team while ensuring adherence to company protocols and procedures. The aim is to maintain accurate inventory records associated with the assembly of FreshRealm meal kits.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise a team of 12-15 full-time inventory personnel.
  2. Conduct multiple daily inventory cycle counts, including items stored offsite.
  3. Ensure First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory rotation throughout the facility.
  4. Oversee the requisition of products from storage to production, documenting all inventory modifications and entering data into the warehouse management system.
  5. Verify product quality and quantity immediately after receiving processes are finalized.
  6. Collaborate with the Inventory Operations Manager to communicate the daily objectives to Associates.
  7. Assess the inventory requirements of the Preparation team to meet daily or weekly production goals.
  8. Effectively communicate significant inventory changes to the Inventory Control Manager.
  9. Assist with the yield assessment of all food products for the weekly cycle.
  10. Address issues related to inventory, product quality, and yields.
  11. In partnership with Quality Control, ensure that incoming products meet or exceed quality specifications.
  12. Uphold food safety standards, particularly in storage and handling.
  13. Reduce shrinkage and spoilage of perishable items.
  14. Monitor waste and inform Purchasing Managers of items that can be salvaged or returned for credit.
  15. Assist in training new hires and temporary Associates.
  16. Encourage, engage, and respect Associates daily; foster team morale to enhance productivity and quality standards; challenge the team to achieve and surpass daily performance targets.
  17. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); escalate discrepancies or performance issues to Leadership as needed.
  18. Take ownership of team safety by modeling safe practices and ensuring a secure working environment for all Associates.
  19. Manage the team as a business, ensuring quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and uniform standards are met, guaranteeing that we deliver a quality product to our customers.
  20. Support Leadership in the development of the team and assist in training for critical roles.
  21. Track and report patterns and behaviors related to timekeeping, GMP compliance, quality, and performance to Supervisor/Leadership.
  22. Exemplify FreshRealm values and leadership competencies at all times to support the development of future leaders and set an example for Associates.
  23. Guide employees in adhering to policies and procedures while maintaining high safety and food safety standards, providing feedback to the Operations Manager responsible for corrective actions.
  24. Focus on managing your area of the facility as if it were your own business, utilizing resources efficiently.
  25. Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Skills and Requirements

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
  2. Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  3. Well-organized with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  4. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  5. Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while staying organized.
  6. Must be eligible to work in the US.
  7. Availability to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.
  8. Ability to lift and bend to handle up to 49 pounds repetitively, with or without accommodation.
  9. Capability to stand and/or sit for extended periods, with or without accommodation.
  10. Exposure to temperatures ranging from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.), with or without accommodation.
  11. Ability to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach above and below shoulders; repetitive use of hands with or without accommodation.

Experience / Education

  1. 1-2 years of entry-level managerial experience in a food production, shipping and receiving, or warehouse environment, or demonstrated relevant skills.
  2. Experience in food production or food manufacturing is preferred.
  3. Ability to accurately count large quantities of products in various forms, including individual items, cases, and pallets.
  4. Experience in receiving or inventory control related to produce or specialty food.
