Position Overview: The Clinical Liaison Specialist will serve as a key scientific resource and intermediary between Bayer AG and the healthcare community, focusing on the dissemination and education of scientific information and materials, including clinical research and health economic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long-term scientific and strategic partnerships with Thought Leaders (TLs) and major medical associations, ensuring effective collaboration in research and educational initiatives.
- Engagement Initiatives: Facilitate TL participation in various initiatives such as advisory boards, educational programs, and research publications, enhancing Bayer's presence in the medical community.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a vital internal partner by sharing insights from TLs, providing training on products and therapeutic areas, and contributing to strategic planning for market access and research.
- Scientific Communication: Plan and execute innovative engagement strategies to share scientific data, study protocols, and clinical guidelines with TLs, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Medical Strategy Execution: Implement local medical plans by developing actionable TL engagement strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams, aligning Bayer's interests with those of the medical community.
- Insight Generation: Gather and document insights on clinical practices and unmet medical needs from TLs, communicating findings to inform strategic planning.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest scientific advancements and Bayer's market strategies, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape.
- Training and Support: Provide training on disease states and Bayer products to internal teams and external stakeholders, as necessary.
- Investigator Initiated Research (IIR): Act as the primary point of contact for investigators, facilitating communication and support for research initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a science-related field (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
- Experience with digital technologies for communication and data analysis is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
