Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at Soni & Sons Construction. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including hardwood, resilient, and carpet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting on floors
  • Install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Prepare floors for installations
Work Environment:

As a Flooring Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including urban areas and various locations. You will be exposed to odours and dusty environments.

Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Organized and able to work independently
Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the flooring industry. You will work 32 hours per week and will be required to speak English as the primary language of communication.
