Segment Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Segment Manager to join our Immersive Experience Business Unit at Barco. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic plans to expand our presence in the entertainment industry.
Main Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of the segment, including overall trends, ecosystem, market problems, customer pains, market definition, segmentation, and size, customer and buyer personas, and their journey, win/loss analysis, competitors, and our positioning.
Create a differentiating Barco segment portfolio with its value propositions, across hardware, software, and services, based on customer problems/needs and Barco's right to play and win.
Identify the key target audience for the value propositions based on data-driven customer segmentation and create roadmaps and business cases for new value propositions in your segment.
Determine and manage the Go-To-Market strategy in close collaboration with sales leaders.
Support downstream marketing teams, including product marketers and field marketing colleagues, in building targeted strong marketing campaigns and messaging. Collaborate with Field Marketing on events, conferences, and trade shows.
Be a sparring partner/coach for customers, regional segment marketers, and sales teams on your segment's strategy, products, solutions, services, and marketing.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree/MBA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of upstream marketing and/or strategy experience.
Experience in defining market strategies, creating value propositions, working with different influences, and Go-To-Market approaches.
Experience in Military or Civil Aviation, especially Flight Training, or in Driving Simulation is a plus.
