Job Summary:The Community Support Specialist will provide support and services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities in a group home setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized support plans, provide behavioral support, and facilitate community integration.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with the individual, their family, and other stakeholders.
- Provide behavioral support and interventions to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Facilitate community integration through outings, activities, and social events.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of individual progress and support provided.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
