ARAG Legal Solutions Inc, a prominent provider in the legal expense insurance sector, is looking for qualified candidates to fill two roles focused on enhancing our operations in the Canadian market.
The Claims Examiner will be accountable to the Vice President of Claims and will be instrumental in fortifying our footprint within the legal expense insurance landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze new and existing claims to ascertain coverage in accordance with insurance agreements.
- Engage in the resolution of claims and coverage disputes.
- Provide training and guidance on products and risk management to legal professionals and firms.
- Establish and nurture relationships with external legal counsel.
- Support various accounting tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of claims management policies and procedures.
- Report on liability and damage exposure assessments.
- Oversee and manage claim files efficiently.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in claims handling or legal environments.
- Familiarity with insurance litigation and tort law is advantageous.
- Capability to assess and resolve litigation matters.
- Knowledge of legal fees and billing evaluations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
