About the Role

EXP Global Inc. is currently in search of a dedicated Construction Materials Testing Specialist to join our Earth and Environmental team. This position will primarily involve working in our materials testing laboratory and engaging in various projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure the successful execution of laboratory testing and field inspections, along with comprehensive reporting for construction projects.
  • Perform laboratory materials testing, including but not limited to:
    • Asphalt testing (field compaction);
    • Concrete testing (compressive strength, slump, air content);
    • Soil testing (field compaction).
  • Conduct assignments that require a solid understanding of materials laboratory and field testing, geotechnical engineering, and civil construction.
  • Prepare detailed and clear reports on laboratory tests and field inspections, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Engage with clients to deliver exceptional service and promptly address their testing requirements.
  • Adhere to various industry standards and internal quality management systems.

Qualifications

  • Possess a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution or equivalent experience, with eligibility for registration with the relevant professional association.
  • CCIL certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in materials laboratory and field testing, particularly in concrete, soils, and asphalt.
  • Familiarity with CCIL, ASTM, and CSA testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with AutoCAD and gINT is a plus.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience is preferred.
