About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Director to lead our team at Parkland Clayton Park in Halifax, NS. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering resident care services related to allied health, recreation, and wellness activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to all departmental activities to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and orientation of new team members.
  • Monitor and manage performance, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to Standards of Nursing Practice, Code of Ethics, Registered Nurses Act, and Regulations as defined by provincial legislation.
  • Organize continuous quality improvement, risk management, and quality assurance activities.
  • Encourage and promote relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, and current registration with the provincial association.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a clinical and administrative environment.
  • Ability to effectively plan, direct, and coordinate resident care services with the needs of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and performance manage others.
  • Consistently demonstrates excellence in customer service to all stakeholders.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
