We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at Hexion. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety programs to prevent injuries and illnesses
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with site leadership and employees to promote a culture of safety and compliance
- Provide training and guidance on health and safety policies and procedures
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Environment, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CRSP or CSP
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Alberta OHS and Quebec CNESST regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
