Primary Maternity Care Physician

We are seeking a skilled Primary Maternity Care Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary obstetrical and postpartum health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with complex obstetrical and postpartum needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and continuum of patient care
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities to enhance patient outcomes and practice efficiency
- Work towards same-day or next-day access for the practice population
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC)
- Primary care obstetrics experience or training required
- Newborn care experience considered an asset
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a team of healthcare professionals. The practice is located in Nova Scotia, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including the OB Clinic and flexible call group.
