Primary Care Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.
Responsibilities- Examine patients and take their medical histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Provide disease prevention and health promotion services to patients.
- Consult with and refer patients to other medical practitioners as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate and provide support to patients and their families.
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations as necessary.
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health-related information as required by Nova Scotia Public Health.
- Full-time or part-time opportunities available.
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
