Job Summary

The Rental Sales Associate will play a crucial role in driving sales and revenue growth for Ryder's rental business. This individual will be responsible for acting as the front-line sales agent for the rental of vehicles to existing and potential customers, utilizing excellent customer communication skills and working cross-functionally with various departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing the role of Rental Representative at the rental counter, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls, as well as soliciting sales opportunities.
  • Conducting yard checks to inspect vehicles and ensure they meet cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data within the company's marketing database.
  • Generating rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads.
  • Managing all rental asset processes, including vehicle PM and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with company, local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Resolving customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain relationships and grow the customer base.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license (Class G2 or above) required.
  • Two or more years of customer service experience with issue resolution required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and self-directed individual who can focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices.
  • Computer literacy at an intermediate level required.
