About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Auto Claims Advisor to join our team at TD Insurance. As an Auto Claims Advisor, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating claims from initiation to completion, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support during challenging times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Management: Support customers throughout the claims process, including arranging towing, scheduling appraisals, and outlining coverage details under the policy terms.
  • Information Collection and Validation: Collect, organize, and validate necessary information and documents from various sources to ensure a comprehensive compilation of facts for resolving claims.
  • Estimate Validation: Validate estimates from new and preferred vendors to ensure fair settlements for damages to a customer's vehicle.
  • Team Productivity: Contribute to team productivity goals by maintaining a positive file count and open/close ratio.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal partners, stakeholders, and external vendors such as Enterprise and repair shops.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of claims adjusting experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates without direct claims experience who show interest in the industry.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills, committed to meeting or exceeding the expectations of internal and external clients.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate positive outcomes whenever feasible.
  • Communication: Demonstrated clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on active listening.
  • Investigation: Excellent investigative skills, capable of conducting thorough examinations, analyzing evidence, and identifying inconsistencies or gaps in data and reports.
  • Process Support: Support for company-wide process enhancements.
  • Designation: Candidates actively pursuing a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or other relevant continuous education opportunities are preferred.
  • Licensing: Provincial claims licensing may be obligatory.
  • Language: Bilingual (English and French) proficiency in written and verbal communication is mandatory for Quebec-based applicants and potentially for those based in Atlantic regions.
