Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

About the Role:
  • Provide on-going client care, observing and monitoring client status and reporting changes to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately, adhering to policy and procedure.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards, upholding Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Program Summary:

The Rehabilitation and Community Transition Program (RCTP) is a short-stay restorative care program that supports medically stable adults who require additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required.
  • Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset.
