About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, monitor, and report on client status and condition, including changes in physical and emotional status.
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times, adhering to Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Program Summary

The Rehabilitation and Community Transition Program (RCTP) is a short-stay restorative care program that supports medically stable adults who do not require acute-care level services but may need additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required.
  • Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset.
